1.         GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1    This Cookie Policy has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Armenia dated 18.05.2015 No. ՀՕ-49-Ն “On the Personal Data Protection” and is one of the measures to protect the personal data of users of the information resource ovio.am (hereinafter referred to as the Website), the owner of which is GNC-ALFA CJSC (1, Abovyan Khakhakhutyan Street, Kotayk Marz, 2201, Armenia). Ensuring unrestricted access to the Policy is implemented by publishing it in the public domain on the Company’s website.

1.2   1.2 Cookies are small pieces of data that are transmitted and stored on the user’s device (computer, smartphone, tablet or smart watch) when visiting the Website. Using these files, the Website remembers information about the user and their device, including storing the user’s personal preferences and settings, and also “recognizes” the user and their device during a subsequent visit to the Website.

1.3   Cookies are processed by GNC-ALFA CJSC for the purposes of:

1.3.1            correct functioning of the Website (including, they allow you not to re-enter the Website access parameters previously filled in by the user);

1.3.2            ensuring the safety of Website users (for example, identifying malicious users (bots));

1.3.3            collecting analytical information in a summarized form to evaluate and further improve the operation of the Website;

1.3.4            creating and delivering personalized marketing and advertising materials.

1.4   GNC-ALFA CJSC does not use cookies to identify a specific user of the Website.

2.         WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT WEBSITE USERS

2.1   Information obtained from the use of cookies may include:

2.1.1       date and time of visiting the Website;

2.1.2       duration of the session when visiting the Website;

2.1.3       information about the pages of the Website that the user visited;

2.1.4       number of visits by the user to the Website during the month;

2.1.5       the URL file being viewed by the user, as well as information related to it;

2.1.6       information about the information resource from which the user came to the Website;

2.1.7       information about the operating system and browser used by the user's device.  

3.         WHAT COOKIES WE USE

3.1   The following types of cookies are used on the Website:

3.1.1       Technical (minimum necessary) cookies

3.1.2       Advertising (marketing) cookies

3.1.3       Personalization cookies

3.1.4       Analytical cookies

3.2   Technical (minimum necessary) cookies are required to enable basic functionality and for the website to function properly. Essential cookies cannot be disabled. They do not store any user information or transmit it to third party analytics systems.

3.3   Advertising (marketing) cookies are used to provide users with personalized marketing and advertising materials based on their interests, as well as information about the pages visited by users, including on other information resources. Can also be used to limit the number of ad views and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

3.4   Personalization cookies allow a website to remember the user's choice (such as user name, language or region they are in) and provide enhanced, more personalized features. For example, a website might provide users with local weather forecasts or traffic updates by storing location data.

3.5   Analytical cookies allow us to evaluate how users interact with the Website, including counting the number and duration of visits to the Website. These cookies help us understand how the website is used to improve its performance, maximize the user experience and whether technical problems may arise.

3.6   Depending on the storage period, GNC-ALFA CJSC uses session and persistent cookies. Session cookies are only stored during a browser session. Persistent cookies last for the duration specified in the cookie settings or until they are deleted by the user.

3.7   For each type of cookie, at least the name, provider, expiration date and purpose must be specified.

3.8   Depending on who installed (generated) the cookies, they are divided into our own, which are installed (generated) by GNC-ALFA CJSC, and third-party ones, which are generated by third parties and are used by us as a tool for analysing user interaction with the Website, as well as setting up marketing and advertising materials relevant to the user’s interests.

3.9   The list of cookies used, indicating their functional purpose and storage period, is provided in the appendix to this Policy.

4.         TO WHOM WE TRANSFER INFORMATION ABOUT WEBSITE USERS COLLECTED USING COOKIES

4.1    To achieve the goals specified in subparagraphs 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 of paragraph 1.3 of this Policy, GNC-ALFA CJSC transfers information collected using analytical and advertising (marketing) cookies to the following third parties who are engaged by us to process cookies and which implement sufficient measures to protect personal data:

5.         DO WE TRANSFER INFORMATION COLLECTED USING COOKIES CROSS-BORDER

5.1   GNC-ALFA CJSC, using third-party cookies provided by third parties specified in section 4 of this Policy, carries out cross-border transfer of data not associated with the identification of a specific user.

5.2   Cross-border transfer of information from cookies is carried out to states in whose territory an adequate level of protection of the rights of personal data subjects is ensured.

5.3   As part of the functioning of the Google Analytics web analytics service, GNC-ALFA CJSC can carry out cross-border transfer of aggregated (combined into a common array of information about users according to their behavioural characteristics) data not related to the identification of a specific user to Google, Inc. servers located in states in whose territory an adequate level of protection of the rights of personal data subjects is not provided.

5.4   In this regard, GNC-ALFA CJSC informs users of the existence of risks arising from the lack of an adequate level of protection of personal data in such foreign states:

5.4.1       lack (fragmentation) of legislation on personal data;

5.4.2       absence (limited) rights of personal data subjects, obligations of the operator to respond to requests from the personal data subject;

5.4.3       lack of an authorized body to protect the rights of personal data subjects;

5.4.4       absence (limited) measures of responsibility for violations of the rights of personal data subjects;

5.4.5       the risk of widespread access to personal data of law enforcement agencies in various states;

5.4.6       the risk of using illegal methods of access to personal data and their illegal use.

6.         ON WHAT LEGAL BASIS DO WE PROCESS COOKIES

6.1   Since GNC-ALFA CJSC can ensure the full and correct functioning of the Website, including the safety of its use, only using technical (minimum necessary) cookies, this type of cookies cannot be disabled using the functionality of the Website and is processed regardless of the user’s consent. If such cookies are disabled using your browser settings, GNC-ALFA CJSC cannot guarantee the correct operation of the Website.

6.2   With regard to analytical, advertising (marketing) cookies and personalization cookies, GNC-ALFA CJSC invites the user, when visiting the Website for the first time, to agree to the use of cookies or to refuse their use by clicking the “Accept” or “Decline” buttons on the pop-up information banner. By clicking the “Accept” button, the user consents to the processing of analytical, advertising (marketing) cookies and personalization cookies. When you click the “Decline” button, you refuse to use them. The user can also choose to use a specific type of cookies by clicking on the “Settings” link in the pop-up information banner.

6.3   The website stores user cookie settings for 1 (one) year. At the end of this period, the Website will again request the user's consent by displaying a pop-up information banner.

The Website's user can change their choice and also refuse the use of cookies before the expiration of the period specified in this paragraph by clicking the “Cookie Settings” button at the bottom of the main page of the Website.

7.         DISABLING COOKIES IN YOUR BROWSER SETTINGS

7.1   Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. The user can delete previously saved cookies by selecting the appropriate option in the browser history. In addition, some browsers allow you to visit websites in incognito mode to limit the amount of information stored on your computer and automatically delete some types of cookies.

7.4   The user can prohibit the storage and use of data collected using cookies from the Yandex.Metrica web analytics service by using the plugin, which can be downloaded at the following link: https://yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html.

7.5   Since the cookies used by GNC-ALFA CJSC allow the user to effectively use the functionality of the Website, personalize its content by recording user preferences, and customize advertising and marketing materials relevant to the user’s interests, we recommend leaving cookies enabled.

8.         ASSISTANCE IN EXERCISING RIGHTS RELATED TO THE PROCESSING OF COOKIES

8.1   The user has the right to seek assistance in exercising their rights on issues related to the processing of cookies from the person responsible for internal control over the processing of personal data of GNC-ALFA CJSC by sending an email to pdpօ@ovio.am.

8.2   You can become familiar with other issues related to the protection of personal data at GNC-ALFA CJSC, including information about the rights associated with the processing of personal data, as well as the mechanism for their implementation, within the framework of the Policy regarding the processing of personal data.Technical (minimum necessary) cookies are necessary to ensure basic functionality and proper operation of the website. Technical cookies cannot be disabled and do not store user information or transmit it to any third-party analytics system.

Advertising (marketing) cookies are used to show users personalized marketing and advertising materials that match their interests, as well as information about users' visits to pages, including other information resources. Can be used to limit the number of advertisements shown and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
