In December 2021, Rostelecom presented the “Build a Dream” offer, in the scope of which the company’s subscribers got the opportunity to contribute to the powerful technological future of Armenia by giving a dream to children.
As part of corporate social responsibility, the company promised to allocate 30% of the monthly subscription fee of one month for each new subscription under the “Build a Dream” campaign to build robotics laboratories and educate children in a number of localities in Armenia.
Thus, in the Gyumri Development Laboratory, Rostelecom opened the first robotics training laboratory, which is provided with all the necessary equipment for practical classes: professional Lego sets, computers, TV sets, specially adapted furniture.
The laboratory will open free educational courses on robotics, designed for children 8-14 years old.
In addition, the company will cover the cost of training robotics teachers by organizing relevant courses.
“We announce with great enthusiasm that today, with the opening of a robotics laboratory in Gyumri, Rostelecom has made another contribution to a more technologically advanced future for Armenia. And all this would not have been possible without the trust of our subscribers, together with whom we were able to provide equal opportunities to children from different social groups, making high-tech knowledge and practical skills available, providing quality education, creating motivation for striving for the professions of the future.
By building laboratories as part of the “Build a Dream” campaign, we strive to create groups of prepared children who will participate in robotics competitions such as Legostart and the World Robotics Olympiad,” said Hayk Faramazyan, CEO of Rostelecom-Armenia.
In the near future, the company plans to open robotics laboratories in other regions of Armenia.
