It's no secret that digital transformation has changed our world, the course of our lives, and even the way we think and live. Today, the wave of digitalization and automation covers almost everything: urban infrastructure, water supply and heating systems, rescue, police and medical services, traffic, education, industry and even culture.

And in this context, it is necessary to turn to the phenomenon that, being an integral part of digitalization, is developing hour by hour, transforming everything that happens on its way - the Internet of Things.

What is the Internet of Things (IoT) and what is it used for?

In fact, the Internet of Things is everywhere, from the air conditioning system that you control with your smartphone to smart cars that drive without a driver, from smart watches to smart homes equipped with digital systems; and this list is constantly expanding.

The Internet of Things is a system consisting of intelligently connected devices with embedded sensors and machines, which, in turn, collect, process and exchange the necessary data from different places via the Internet.

And what is the technological marvel called the Internet of Things (IoT) used for, and what is being done with all this information? All information collected by sensors and machines built into devices is collected on one common IoT platform, where it is “polished” and processed, turning into a full-fledged database. Afterwards, this data is also used by other devices to improve automation, work efficiency and speed, and to produce far better results.

Thus, the Internet of Things (IoT) is everywhere, bringing new speed, new quality and new possibilities to our lifestyle.
