GNC-ALFA CJSC was founded in 2007.

OVIO (GNC-ALFA CJSC) is one of the leading telecommunication companies in Armenia providing Internet access, Fixed telephony, new generation Smart TV and a number of cloud services to both physical bodies and corporate clients since December 18, 2012.

During the period of 2012-2013, the company made large-scale investments in network development and expansion. Investments resulted in the successful implementation of new “Fiber to the home” (GPON) technology in a number of cities of RA.

The company’s network is based on fiber-optic infrastructure and is built underground, connecting Armenia with the outside world on the borders of Georgia and Iran. OVIO has three international channels to Russia and Europe, which are physically and geographically separated from each other, which guarantees reliable and uninterrupted services.

Starting from 2013 the company provides services in cities Yerevan (Center, Erebuni, Nubarashen, Ajapnyak, Avan, Nor Nork, Davitshen, Malatia-Sebastia, Arabkir districts), Abovyan, Charentsavan, Hrazdan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Ashtarak, Metsamor, Armavir, Masis, Artashat, Ararat, Sevan, Dilijan, Ijevan, Kapan, Martuni, Alaverdi and Kajaran.

OVIO's corporate clients include many large companies, including banks and other financial institutions, government offices, telecommunications companies and large international organizations.

In 2020 OVIO began cooperation with CenturyLink, the world's largest Internet service provider, thereby increasing the diversification of its international Internet resources.

In March 2023, the company started and on May, 2024 put into commercial operation the project of the largest and most powerful Data Processing Center in Armenia in the city of Abovyan in the Kotayk region.

Considering the strategic importance for the country, the investment program of the Data Processing Center was approved by the government of the Republic of Armenia and included in the program of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the “Infrastructure in exchange for investment” project.

The capacity of the data processing center is 2 MW, it is connected to the RA power system with a 35 KW substation, and the construction of a second 110 KW substation is underway. The center is built according to the standards of ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, PCI DSS and Tier III international prestigious certificates. 216 server cabinets are located in the data processing center.
