On January
29, General Director of Rostelecom Armenia Hayk Faramazyan and Rector of the
National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Yeghiazar
Vardanyan signed the "Memorandum of Cooperation". Within the scope of
the memorandum, the parties agreed to ensure the involvement of specialists in
educational and work processes, joint organization of seminars and other
events, joint development of educational materials, organization of internships
and business meetings for university students, financing of scholarships,
involvement of the best students in the organization as employees, and
development of more effective formats of joint cooperation. The memorandum was
signed on the basis of important principles of trust, responsibility and mutual
respect.
The signing of the memorandum was
reinforced by the launch of Rostelecom's "Cloud Video SurveillanceService" at the university. It provides a wide range of functionality,
including safe storage of videos in the cloud space, which excludes the possibility of videos being exposed
to various external influences. Within the scope of the service, Rostelecom
Armenia offers an unprecedented opportunity: personalized video analysis based
on the customer's needs, based on gender, age, body temperature, identification
of vehicle license plates and other criteria, which enables the use of activity
data in the video surveillance area for the purpose of more effective business
management.
The installation and adjustment of
cameras by the company, 24/7 service, availability of a modern and convenient
application, up to 14 days archive storage make the service unique in the
Armenian market.
"Today was the beginning of an
extremely important cooperation, which not only has the format of providing
service to a partner, but also the beginning of long-term and multifaceted
partnership relations. The signed memorandum is an extremely important
strategic step for both Rostelecom Armenia and the National University of
Architecture and Construction of Armenia. This format of cooperation is sure to
have a positive impact on the development of information technologies, based on
mutual exchange of best practices.
At the university, we are introducing
the unique "Cloud Video Surveillance Service" in the market, which is
another revolutionary step by Rostelecom, ahead of the development of cloud
technologies in Armenia. I would also like to mention that Rostelecom is
building the largest Data Processing Center in Armenia, where cloud services
will play a key role. this will be our next step towards the development of
information technologies. We are confident that the cooperation with the
university will continue in that context as well," said the General
Director of Rostelecom Armenia, Hayk Faramazyan.
"Rostelecom Armenia is one of the
best operators in the field, and it is no coincidence that we decided to
implement a project together with you that allows you to conduct lectures at
any time to highlight the best teaching practices and methods of our
professors. I also emphasize the other component of this program: security. We
always focus on creating a safe environment for our students and employees, and
in this context, the project implemented with Rostelecom Armenia is very
important. One of the priorities of our university is to improve the quality of
learning through the use of information technology, and we are going the way of
digitization. We have already digitized a part of our educational process and
now we are going full digitization.
I am confident that in the future we
will have new projects with Rostelecom Armenia that will contribute to the
development of both our students and professors, as well as the development of
the company," said Yeghiazar Vardanyan, rector of the University of
Armenia.
The "Cloud video
surveillance" service was launched by Rostelecom in November 2023 and has
already managed to arouse great interest among both businesses and individuals.
At the end of the event, the parties
congratulated each other on the planned long-term and effective cooperation.
