No one could have imagined that an invention made 100 years ago - a television set, or television in general would become an integral part of our lives. Even if we do not watch TV, it is always on, always ready to provide us with a variety of entertainment content.

Television, the invention and development of which takes a relatively short period of time from a historical point of view, has radically changed the standards of our communication, our attitude to information, culture and the world as a whole.

When it comes to television as a science and technology, we have something to be proud of here - the first two-color television system was proposed in 1907 by an Armenian engineer, inventor Hovhannes Adamyan. In 1925, he co-founded the first tricolor television, the forerunner of modern color television.

In 1923, Russian inventor and engineer Vladimir Zvorikin invented the vacuum tube. In the 1930s, the cathode ray tube appeared and remains the "heart" of every modern television.

Until 1953, all television programs were in black and white. In 1953, the first color television program took place in the United States. The first TV program in Armenia went on the air in 1956, and the first color program in 1971.

How are the images sent to the TV? There are several ways to transfer a TV image to a TV. In a terrestrial television system, the transmitter sends signals over radio channels that are received by a conventional antenna. In a satellite television system, signals are sent in microwaves to a satellite orbiting the earth. The latter refers to them "directs down", covering vast areas. To receive such signals, you must have a satellite. In a cable TV system, the signals are transmitted directly to the TV via a cable.

In a digital television system, TV signals are encoded as numbers, resulting in an extremely clear picture. Now almost all television has become digital.
